Meeting room rate types
There are many ways to price your Meetings & Events services. Here are the most common rate types available by default.Hourly rate
Sell your meeting rooms at the hourly rate. Configuring hourly rates for the meeting rooms is often used with "dry-hire" sales where by default there is nothing else than the meeting room itself. Any additional service needs to be chosen by the customer at the online checkout.
Half-day rate
Offering meeting rooms at a half-day rate can be a flexible and convenient option for customers. A half-day rate typically refers to a 5-hour period during normal business hours, but this can vary depending on the venue. Creating a package that includes meeting rooms and clearly defines the time frame for the half-day rate can help ensure that customers understand the pricing and options available.
Full-day rate
Set up full-day rates for your meeting rooms. You can price your meeting rooms separately for full-day meetings. If that is the way, you want to sell your meeting rooms.
Minimum Spend
Use a minimum spend to set the lowest price for a room, even if the customer only wants to book it for a short period of time. This ensures that your staff never sell underpriced services to customers.
Meeting Packages
You can sell your meeting package online with flexible pricing. Packages can be tailored to your needs. This means that you can package any service and sell it. Imagination is the limit.
The most common pricing is per person, but you can also set up price tiers. For example, if the person's amount exceeds a specific number, the price per person decreases. Of course, you can also set the minimum package amount so you only sell things that are inexpensive and labour-intensive to sell only to a few clients.
Seasonal pricing
Adjust prices for busy and holiday seasons. So you can optimize your M&E revenue and better align pricing with resources and demand. You can either use a fixed price or a percentage discount, whichever suits best for your needs.
Corporate negotiated rates
You can offer corporate rates for meetings and events services to your business customers and allow them to book online using corporate codes. This allows customers to easily track their bookings and gives your venue the ability to monitor their purchase behavior without manual effort. This benefits both parties.
