MeetingPackage, a company voted as the 2022 best online venue booking software globally, has attracted more well-known professionals to its leadership team. All new members share the company’s mission of having 100,000 venues bookable by 2025 end in real-time with the ease of booking hotels or travel.
Mika Kiljunen, the chairman of the company's board for the last three years, has relocated back to Finland and joined the company as the COO. Mika has over 30 years of experience in the travel and hospitality industry.
I have been following the company closely as the Chairman of the Board, and as I finished my latest project in Asia and relocated back to Finland, it was a brilliant time to join MeetingPackage also operationally. I am sure I can bring the needed structure and processes to the organization as we are soon closing our Series-A round of finance, which will enable our accelerated growth”, says Mika Kiljunen, COO.
Jussi Virtanen has joined the team as the VP of Design. As a designer, Jussi has been the go-to person in the Nordics for many scale-ups, such as Smartly, Freska and Nosto. Jussi will play a significant role in bringing the MeetingPackage brand, design and user experience to the next level.

I will ensure that the venue users and their customers will get the same user experience that any best B2C software offers," says Jussi Virtanen, VP of Design.
Ahti Urb has joined as an Engineering Manager helping to build sustainable processes for the growth ahead. Ahti has already seen the hyper-growth phase while working with Skype Engineering Systems for more than ten years including before and after being acquired by Microsoft. Since then, Ahti has worked as the CTO & Engineering Manager for Omniva before joining MeetingPackage.
The technology that MeetingPackage has built is unique and ahead of any competition in the market. My responsibility is to make sure we will stay ahead of the competition and establish an environment that will allow us to scale up our engineering team with more than 30 new hires in the coming 12 months”, says Ahti Urb, Engineering Manager.
